Over the course of the last 6 months the Petite Princess seems to have become obsessed with stuffing things in her nose. So far we're at a count of seven stuffings with four of them involving trips to the doctor. The objects used for stuffing are paper peeled from pages of books taken to bed, little rubber hair bands, and one unidentifiable item that could have at one time been pasta. It's truly amazing the amount of paper that can fit in a three year old's nose.
The first time it was kind of funny. After the third time it started to get a little worrisome. Then I remembered a few things about the Petite Princess's family. I know for a fact that she has one cousin that stuffed a pea up her nose and another that stuffed a coffee bean up hers. The pea stuffer graduated salutatorian and the coffee bean stuffer is a National Merit Scholar finalist. Dear old mom may have once stuffed an eraser in her nose but since she's getting close to forty her memory is fading a bit. She likes to think she's not completely without a brain. So after seven stuffings for the Petite Princess, do we attribute the obsession to genetics or is it a sign of super intelligence? Hmmmmmm............................
